The impact strength of phenolic paper laminated sheet is not as high as materials in other groups and it’s not usually chosen where toughness, bearing properties or high stress carrying capabilities are required
Applications
However, the lowest cost grades in this group represent excellent value as rigid non-metallic materials and it’s used in a very wide range of less demanding applications.
These materials offer an economic solution to engineering applications where good mechanical strength coupled with light weight and useful electrical resistance is required.
